Give your child the chance to explore the flavors and foundations of American cuisine through a hands-on, immersive culinary experience.
Youth Culinary Passport – Elevated American Classics is a four-week series designed for curious 9–12-year-olds who want to build real kitchen skills while discovering the roots and evolution of American food.
Each week, students explore iconic American dishes as a gateway to understanding regional influences, cultural diversity, and the evolution of classic comfort foods. From Southern traditions to coastal California freshness, students learn how immigration, agriculture, and innovation have shaped what we now consider American cuisine.
Classes are fully hands-on — kids cook complete dishes from start to finish while building confidence, knife skills, kitchen safety, foundational techniques, and teamwork. Throughout the series, students are introduced to the idea of taking familiar dishes and elevating them through technique, balance, and presentation.
To deepen the experience, music from different American eras and regions plays throughout each session, and visual displays provide cultural context such as regional maps, historical food influences, and iconic American food moments. The kitchen becomes a classroom where food, culture, history, and creativity come together.
This program emphasizes curiosity and confidence. Students are encouraged to explore familiar flavors in new ways — recognizing what they already love while discovering how small refinements can transform a dish. Every class is designed so there’s something each child connects with, while gently expanding their palate and understanding of food.
